I purchased the CT653 primarily for squash and racquetball. What I was looking for was a no-frills shoe that offered a good level of cushioning, stability, and traction. I\'ve put it to the test in both the squash and racquetball court and so far it\'s met my expectations. The fit is excellent through the midfoot, largely because of a simple lacing system that provides a very secure wrap. It was a little loose in the heel area-nothing major or that caused any problems during play but I did notice a bit of slippage in my right foot. However, I think this has more to due with the shape of my heel than with the shoe itself. The toe-box provided ample room so that I wasn\'t jamming my toes with every lunge, stop, and pivot. The traction is superb on this shoe-the classic herringbone pattern really works well. Despite the lack of mesh, my feet didn\'t overheat in them and didn\'t have any problems with hot spots or blisters. The shoe requires a little break-in time-a couple of hours fixed the initial stiff, clunky feel. One recommendation I would have would be to extend the toe guard on the medial side of the shoe another 1-1.5 in (adjacent to the ball of the foot). This is a common wear spot for squash players as we tend to drag our feet in this area quite a bit. I\'m used to a little more flash in my shoes but the clean styling has a good look. Given how hard I am on court shoes, I generally rotate two pair each year. If these withstand the rigors of the upcoming season, I\'ll definitely be a repeat customer.
