I have been wearing New Balance Athletic shoes for a very long time; it is the only brand I use period. I had a 575 for a least 5 years, and even thou it is too worn out to use in public I still wear them. Well since then I have become an avid runner/walker, and thus felt the need to not just treat myself for a new pair of shoes, but because I needed one with a bit more support. So after having read countless reviews online on this model pair I finally decided to buy them. Let me just say the day I brought them home I immediately try them on, and put them on for a 10 miles test run along with the New Balance Ultra Arch insole inserted into the shoes.
I have never felt so comfortable in my ife!! I suffer from pain underneath my medium foot arches when I walk for more the five miles; needless to say when I came back home from a 10 MILES over concrete test run/walk I DIDN'T FEEL ANY PAINS AT ALL, I couldn't believe it!? so far I have run/walk over 20 miles on this shoes with the ultra arch insoles; please please don't forget to buy the insoles. You will be surprise at the huge difference it makes.I also like to add that after finishing the 10 miles test I did checked to see how worn out the bottom of the shoes were and to my surprise there was no signs of it being worn out,as if new, wow!
Overall I am in love with this shoes, and if within a month everything goes well I intend to buy at least two or three more pairs, as my shoes tend to last me a very long time. The way the economy is heading where everything is being made overseas I can't afford to miss this chance as New Balance is the only Athletic shoe manufacturer that still makes some of their best selling products in the USA!!

I have had a pair of these for 5 years, I am amazed at how well they are made, in almost daily use for that time they have not shown the slightest hint of falling apart. I am picky about what i buy and I insist on leather free (I am an animal rights activist) and Made in the USA (I am pro labor/fair trade), so this shoe fits my ethical needs while also being very well made and comfortable (not to mention reasonably priced considered made in the USA). After 5 years they began to have a smell issue (not complaining, it is a shoe after all with heavy use) so its time to replace, after looking at the options I am opting to get the same shoes again. The only downside is lack of color options, I do wish an all grey version was available. Please never discontinue this model!
