I actually grew to like these, and would purchase them again. I bought these as a stockpile back-up to the discontinued 738, and while I have a neutral arch/gate and this is a mild stability shoe, I did get by with the shoe. The stability component started to wear down after about 3-4 months, which was fine with me. While there's not much responsiveness or pop to this model as a straight runner, it none-the-less makes a very good cross-training gym shoe. There's enough structure and wide, thick foam to provide support for working legs or for the upper body days, and enough of the running component to be able to finish the workout off on the treadmill. And, with all these modern day mesh shoes, the mesh starts to stretch after 3-4 months, providing a snugger, perhaps even more comfortable fit. Mine were USA made as well. It's not great, but it's pretty darn good.

I've had these shoes only three months and the treads are pulling away from the sole. I'm no runner, just a guy with an office job. One piece of tread has torn off and others are loose. I think it's a poor design with so many edges that can get caught on things. I'm trying to return them to NB.
