These shoes offer great cushion, especially for the heavier than average runner; I weigh 215lbs. I ran on MR2001; the MR2002's sole is much more flexible. The product quality is very good; I have had no problems at all. I wear 993s for casual walking; upgrading to the MR2002, for running, is worth the price. You get what you pay for.

When I first got these shoes, I thought they were like concrete bricks. I wear orthotics and on top of the weight they constantly squeeked even with powder. After about 80-100 miles the finally broke in and I got it, these are some well made shoes. Most other shoes I have worn with orthotics would show a lot of wear after 100 miles, these are like new (dirty, but like new). I am glad I bought American made, the price was high but the quality is well worth it. I will be buying a new pair before the end of the year, I recommend these to any high mileage runner who is looking for comfort and quality. Only compliant is the limited color selection, but then again I didn't buy them t look good, but to go the distance...
